On Friday, December 26, 2014, Urban Organic presents A Night with Monica Blaire. The event will showcase the eclectic musical stylings of Detroit-based Monica Blaire (mB), who freely traverses between Classical, Rock, R&B, Soul, Gospel, Funk,Hip Hop, Techno, and Pop. In every performance she viscerally connects with the audience through a mix of delightful vocal complexity, innate thespian capability, and captivating regality.

After becoming a 2010 Kresge Artist Fellow in the Performing Arts and touring in 2014 with Tyler Perry's Hell Hath No Fury Like A Woman Scorned, mB is gearing up to take the world by storm with her powerful performances and uncanny musical expression. mB has worked with artists ranging from Roy Ayers, Platinum Pied Piper Dwele, Black Milk, and ZO. She has performed in venues throughout the country, one stage at a time, creating mB crusaders in the wake of each of her performances. Motown recording artist Kem applauded, Urban Organic “for creating an essential sort of springboard for talent on the rise…..when you are invited into the experience, it's like you're going through a necessary initiation into the Detroit Live Music marketplace,” and The Detroit Free Press described UO as being the “most notable event of its kind!” A short list of artists that the group has presented includes, Ledisi, Chrisette Michelle, Leela James, Eric Roberson, Waajeed, Detroit’s own Kem and Dwele, and and seemingly long list of others.
